Just woke up this morning to a clutch of eggs being gaurded in a pot by a pair of keyholes:) I love these fish, I'm so excited!

You can have first pick Ben:-) They're really laid back fish. Best kept in a group of 6.
(That is, if they don't eat their eggs. They ate the first batch, let's keep our fingers crossed.)

I moved the Male, female ,and eggs in pot to the 20long this afternoon. I think we will just keep these guys here and try to get some fry out of the deal! We got a group of 6 in June of 2011 and ended up with two pairs. One died and one is just a 5th wheel.

They aren't as showy as some fish out there, but for some reason I absolutely love them. I think its their lazy attitudes...at any given time, you see one perched in a plant relaxing or propped up on their fins on the bottom of the tank. And they love food. Such funny little fish. They would be a great addition to any peaceful community tank.

I am going to breed these guys, i am just going to condition them. There are 3 samll plecos in the tank with them and a few hillstreams. I will have to move them in the near future.

They moved them to the corner of the tank and I was able to get some good video of the wigglers.

All our fish went on a spawning frenzy. We should have more angels, possibly more kribs, bushynose plecos and calico convicts. Oh, and the maingano babies. Sigh

Oh excellent, Keyholes are such sweet fish. I lost mine late last year, he was a great little guy (or girl) given to me by a friend.

Man, they ate all except four...AGAIN. Crappy keyhole parents. At least we have two pairs so we WILL have more soon.

Snapped some cool pics of them though.

As you can see...they are absent the multitude of fry in the vid.
