Recently the forumotion HELP team made changes to the text editor.
One of those changes was this handy hide feature.    Guests will not be able to read what is written between the tags.

I should have mentioned that everyone who replies to this topic will see the hidden text.  Admins and mods can see the text without replying to the topic.

OK Deb, I guess I'm going to need a training class on the Forum. Is this something we do on Posts or something that happens automatically?

Umm... what's the point of this? (Maybe I will find out when I hit "send").

Ron, it's a feature that you select from the text editing box while composing a post.  I can't think of a reason we would use it very often on CVAS, but that might be because it's new to me and I haven't given it much thought.

Remember, guests to the forum can't see what's between the hide brackets, and only registered members who are posting on the thread can.  This might be handy if someone posts something inappropriate but we don't want to delete it.  A moderator can simply "hide" it and so it remains part of the posting history but does not get displayed to those who are not involved.  See?

I assure you I didn't invent this little feature. *lol* Laughing It's part of the new forumotion editor which has just been released for our use. I can see where it might come in handy.

It might be helpful for posting a phone number, address or email address on the forum. That forum members can get in touch quickly, but random people(or spammers) searching on google won't see it.
