Thought I would post a tank update-tried out ddavis' photography tips (still need to practice!)  I just got back from a 2 week vacation and was worried most about my fish while I was gone since no water changes were getting done (the 40 gallon missed 3 changes). Everyone seems happy and healthy though (far fewer platy fry in my daughter's tank though Smile)!

40 Gallon: 3 red wag platy males, 9 cardinal tetras, 2 german blue rams, 4 peppered cories, 3 otos, 2 glass catfish and many yellow mystery snails. The crypts still haven't regained their former glory before the melt but at least they are still there.

75 Gallon: 12 red-tailed rasboras, 4 denison barbs, 5 polka dot loaches, 2 nerite snails, 1 pearl gourami

LOVE your Tank setup's and Fish - your images are great too!

What part of the tank (top, middle, bottom) do the Red Tailed Rasbora hang out?

Tracey-the rasboras usually hang out in the middle/top-they esp love darting in/out of the floating wisteria.

Your tanks look great! Very Happy  Both layouts are very nicely done. Thanks for posting these full-tank views. I love the branchy piece in the 75.

David's tips are paying off!  Your photography is great and I especially like the way you have managed to eliminate the reflections from the glass.  These are very nice photos.

Would it be all right with you if your Oto pic was featured in the Favorite fish column on the home page?

I'm sure my oto wouldn't mind being on display Smile Like your VT picture by the way!

Man, you and Ron's tanks both seem to look so clean!   No algae on the plants, and everything looks happy and healthy!  Very nice tank indeed- cool shot of the Oto.    Show off!...(the Oto, that is). Those loaches are mugging is up for the camera too, huh?  Wink
