Does anyone know how to move nerites from saltwater to freshwater? Are there certain types that do better in a certain type of water?

It largely depends on what sort of Nerite snail you have. None of the full-saltwater Nerites (and indeed several of the brackish species) have a very good track record in freshwater. You may have some luck moving some saltwater species to low/moderate brackish levels, though.

If looking for good freshwater Nerites, the Zebra Nerite (Neritina natalensis) is very reliable.

edit: accidentally labeled Neritina natalensis as saltwater... oops! It's freshwater that should do well in low brackish tanks (around 1.003)
