" />Hi Folks,
This April a club that I belong to had their Spring auction (PVAS).  As luck would have it, I was contacted by one of your members who wanted to buy some of my Java Fern but could not make the auction.  I was able to mail her some in the coming weeks.  She has introduced to your club!  Glad to be aboard!
I have had fish since I was a teenager ( to many years to count). Currently I have over 30 tanks, a koi pond and in the summer several outdoor 300 gallon grow out tanks. Currently breeding several different species of cories. Also black angelfish, German blue rams and electric blue rams. I will be posting a video in the DIY section that I made several years ago on removing scratches on acrylic tanks.

Best regards,

                 Jim Chitty

P.S.  Retirement is a BLAST!

Welcome and what an incredible fish room just from the one picture. Have you ever made a fish-room tour video? I would like to see that and your thought process behind how you designed and built your room.

Welcome to the forum, Jim!  cheers  It's great to have you aboard here.

That is an awesome fishroom, just from the one glimpse we have of it, and I second Nick's suggestion of a fish room tour video.  Great idea!  Hope it will become a reality when you have some time - I know that free time is not something you have a lot of! *lol*

What corys are you currently working with?

Thank you all...glad to be here. As to a video tour, that will be coming this summer. Reason being is that there will be some adjustments to the room. First, one of the wall racks will be reconfigured to hold 6 - 40 gallon breeder tanks and second, I will be installing a centralized closed loop air system. I will take some pics as work progresses and post here.

Deb: I am currently breeding albino's, bronze, panda and sterbai cories. I also have orange laser cories...but they are being "stubborn" as to spawning...its a work in progress.

Welcome Jim, your fish room looks SOOO well organized!

Look forward to the video you mention and I hope you'll share updates on your future breeding projects.

Your avatar is a beauty, a Collie..... or Sheltie?

Thegundog: the avatar is "buddy"! He is "supposed" to be a sheltie. Both of his parents were ours, dad
(Toby) had papers... Treena... His mother was bought from a lady whose dad had bred shelties but had passed away... So she didn't have papers. Mom and dad gave us 3 beautiful liters of puppies and i picked out buddy to keep. It was really nice to see mom and dad take care of him as he grew up. Sadly Treena passed away last year but his dad toby is still with us. Toby cleans his son's ears everyday.
Buddy looks more like a border collie than a sheltie... So i am wondering if his mom's mother was just part sheltie. Doesn't matter... Love them all!
