I'm looking for either a 33 or 40 gallon LONG aquarium, and it must hold water.  Both are 48" long and 12+" wide.
If you have one, please post here or pm.
Very Happy

Ohhhhh.... those are very cool sized tanks - I have a 33 long Deb, it's dry but unfortunately I shall never part with it!

What are you up to? Smile

Thanks, marlboro.  I agree it doesn't look like a low tank and Suffolk is too far, anyway. If he had given the dimensions of the tank we wouldn't have to guess the gallons.

Hi, Tracey, I'm finally going to set up a shelldwellers tank.

No longer looking! cheers  I've got something better - a 56 column 30X18X25, just picked up from Ron on Saturday.  This size will fit my space better and give more of that deep Lake Tang feel that I'm going for.

Johnny, a tall tank would not have occurred to me but when I saw the 56 I could see it was the right one for me.  Thanks to Marlboro for keeping an eye on Craigslist!

To all who might be wondering about the tank build - progress is slow but sure!  I'm going to start a separate thread, like Chris did for his 40 breeder, and probably bore you all to death with the intricate details.  At this point, the tank is completely empty and buckets of sand are waiting to be rinsed.

I can't wait to see the whole process. I'm sure I'll learn tons of stuff. I think it will be great for the newbies like myself to have somewhere to reference a tank build from soup to nuts.

Neo, I hope to begin with multis as I hear only good things. When the time comes, if Joe has any of the Lamprologus stappersi (meleagris) to sell, I may go with that, instead.

Deb,

I have 4 Multies that I got from Joe (you were not ready at the time) and they are available if you want them. I need to re-purpose the tank. I have shells also.

PM me if you are interested.

Steve
