Well I got those peacocks from Mark at the last meet and just got the tank almost finished. I just need to add more black sand and maybe a few more big pieces of slate. 95% of the Slate in the tank is from Koolaid68 (Thank You) Exclamation The Name of these particular Peacocks is Aulonocara sp Chileolo Rust , I have also found them under Aulonocara stuartgranti (Chiloelo) . Enough with the blabber here is the video Cool

They look great Flip. You will get to see some aggression between those 2 males soon I am sure. Won't be long before they want to breed.

Okay a few questions about these guys. I was told they like high flow, We noticed this when the tank was empty and only had one emperor 400 running. They were very active swimmers and utilized all of the tank. I added a Maxi jet 1200 that puts flow length wise in the tank. After adding all the slate I added a 2nd emperor 400. Is this too much??? They seem to be acting normal and swimming in all areas of the tank.

I honestly don't think it is a problem. I was always adding or changing the flow in the tank. I had one power head blowing vertically across the rocks I had stacked in there and then 2 HOBs. In my experience the fish seemed plenty happy. I also tried the powerhead closer to the top and the bottom. I persoanlly liked it across the rocks better but the fish didn't act any different when I moved it around.

I have this website that can calculate filtration stock and tanks size and tell you the stocking levels and water change %. It says I am 368% filtered, stocking level is at 63%, and need to do 16% water changes a week. Here is the link

You've definitely got enough filtration and water movement - looks great. Are you fully stocked or do you have more plans?

BTW, love that link you posted - here's what it said about my 150:

filtration capacity for above selected species is 449%.
Recommended water change schedule: 33% per week.
Your aquarium stocking level is 70%.

What's cool is that I was able to use juvenile sizes for the geophagus, since they're not fully grown by any means, so I got a more accurate estimation.

Looks like you need more fish, Brian! Very Happy
