Rainbow sharks are recognized as not the best companions for Angelfish. I had a similar experience with Clown Loaches  and also common Plecos. Both can became fairly large and the problem would always occur at feeding times. My Angels have done a lot better over all without the competition at meal times. Good luck rehoming the rainbow shark. I think it is a wise move if you want to showcase the Angelfish... Neutral

I know Richmond Aquarium will take him as a rescue, but I figured I'd offer him up here first. I have a bristlenose pleco in there as well and he doesn't bother anybody. I might get another pleco of some sort in lieu of other angels as they seem very well settled among themselves and I'd rather not risk breaking up that balance.

I'm so happy that Bristlenose Plecos have become readily available. It was the common Plecos that became so huge that they caused problems at feeding times. I keep several Bristlenose in all my tanks, even my breeding tanks and they don't bother the Angelfish at all.  Bristlenose Plecos are also pretty easy to breed too...Cool
