RAS Treasurer and Master Breeder Larry Jinks will be speaking on Care and Breeding of Killifishes at the next Raleigh Aquar Soc monthly meeting, 7:30 to 9:30 pm on Thurs, Jan 7, 2016, at NCSU School of Veterinary Medicine.  Killifishes include hundreds of species throughout the world, from blackwater swamps and temporary depression pools to large rivers and tidal salt marshes.  They come an a dazzling array of sizes, colors, and unusual feeding and breeding behaviors.  Some even fertilize their own eggs!  Several bags of killifish will be in the auction after Larry's talk.

ALSO -- Mark your calendars for the next Carolina Aquarium Workshop, Mar 18-20, 2016, at Ramada Inn on Blue Ridge Rd, right beside the NCSU Vet School.  Native fish field trip on Fri afternoon, party with speakers Fri night, talks and vendors on Sat, and huge auction on Sun.
