55 Gal - FEB 2016

Ron, here is one of your fish, looking big!

Rainbow Shark is looking good and not as timid as before.

Good looking anubias with a lot of fish traffic

If images don't pop up in 24 hours, I will figure out something else, Imageshack acting odd tonight.

@ddavis1979 Great update, David!  It has more of that peaceful garden feeling than ever.  The blue stream is looking good, too. ThumbsUp

Which fish of Ron's do you mean? Just curious.
Also, it looks like you got a new flock of tiger barbs. Yay!

Got the images fixed.  Its Ron's angelfish

Not sure which images you were seeing, but I have no tiger barbs. Two male cherry barbs which should be nicknames survivors, because they were rescues from a terrible neglected tank, and have been in my tank for about 2 years now I think.

Wow! That's an amazing Angelfish. It looks like I see at least one dose of Smokey. It has very nice fins. What gets my attention is the orange crown. Just looking at this fish tells me that it is in very good condition. It looks like I see a lot of green but it could be Blue. I don't know if the display was influenced by the lighting and angle. Please tell us as much as possible about this fish. It has me very curious. It's a lovely Angelfish. Thanks in advance... study

You are very flattering!  I don't know how much I can tell, Ron would know more than me since it was his fish.   I think he called it a two/tone angelfish, but the orange crown has certainly become more distinct as it has grown.  If you measure angelfish like a circle, the diameter of this fish has grown about 0.75" in the past 4-6 months.  The whiskers have gotten much larger and split so that each whisker has 2 threads coming off of it, and the fins developed long threads as well.  When the fins were developing, I thought it was a result of the constant fighting with the other male. That ended up not being the case luckily.

The fish are very enthusiastic eaters, so they will get a little bit of everything I put in the tank.  However, their main diet consist of Tetra Brand Tropical flake (with Pre-Biotics).  In addition to that, I have a significant rams horn snail population in the tank, and I often crush the snails against the glass to help control numbers and the angelfish enjoy eating the snails like that.

The aqua blue color is an artifact of the lighting Smile

That's all I can think to share at this point.
