PostSubject: Acrylic Tank Care   Thu Jun 29, 2017 11:20 pm

I bought a Acrylic tank recently and want to fix it up. It has a lot of scratches and I am suspicious about whether it holds water. I tested it for 24hrs and it didn't seem to leak but the stand has some water stains from its previous owner. How can I fix the scratches? is it really hard to reseal an acrylic tank?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, NVFC.  Only just now catching up on CVAS messages.
To fix scratches in acrylic/plastic you're going to need a product like the Novus Plastic Polish kit.

If you're looking to reseal an acrylic tank you'll need a product like Weld-on #4 Acrylic Solvent Cement.

Check out websites like Reef Central.

And Monster Fish Keepers.

Hope this helps. Hello

Aquariums.  Drugs would be cheaper.
