Click & Fish Aquatics is an exciting new fish shop right here in Central Virginia. Conveniently located in Regency Square Mall, it is easy to find and even more fun to visit. The shop opened to the public on July 14. There are many tanks of the latest freshwater shrimps, exotic aquatic plants, species of Apistogramma (these are popular and sell out fast!), and nano-fish from around the world! New stock is coming in all the time, and new tanks are set up daily. It's an exciting work in progress.

Get in on the new aquatics shop excitement! ThumbsUp

I do like keeping shrimp in my tank so I made a special trip to see what these guys were all about. I do wish they had a better location, not for my sake, but for theirs. When I was growing up, regency was a happening place, but its a shadow of what it once was. They have a very good set up, but are still getting established. I think it does have great potential and they are super nice! I am assuming that the rent there is cheap and they are relying on more online sales instead of foot traffic.

He is very knowledgeable but his specialty lies in breeding and raising DWARF shrimp. These guys are nice to look at and he has some nicer exotic species, but they are super tiny and wont work in most tanks that are not dedicated to dwarf shrimp. I was pleased to find nice sized amano shrimp for a good price here so I bought some more along with some whisker shrimp. I would be enthusiastic about going back if he had more of the larger shrimp and invertebrate species that could go into a community tank of tetras, guppies, or platies without being eaten. I would love to have some Black, Blue, Yellow, Orange, and Red Shrimp in the tank, but they need to be at least 3/4 inch.

Thanks for the reference
