| "38"g1 Adult Male Bristlenose Pleco roughly 30 Endler's Livebearers 1 male Betta Soon to be about 6 Red Cherry Shrimp I'm thinking about getting either a 20g long or a 10g, whichever will fit to add to the area underneath my tank and possibly plumb to the main tank, then add the Endler's and extra plants. Not sure yet, but this is the first time in so long that I've only had one tank, and it's driving me crazy. Whatever I do has to be kind of low-key though, because we're living with the boyfriend's parents right now, and his stepfather wasn't happy with me bringing my cat when we had to move in with them, even though his cat is a little demon. |

| How does the Betta do with the Endler's? Also I think the Betta may be a problem with the shrimp. |

| Betta with Endler's is one of those things that I was really wary with at first, mostly being worried about his fins getting nipped. So far, they're co-existing pretty well. The betta is pretty chill as far as having tank mates goes. He doesn't bother them unless they come to "his" area of the tank. I haven't seen him bite anyone, only chasing the Endler's away when they get too close, and his fins are doing A-ok. Besides my pleco, the entire tank is pretty much a patchwork of "gifts" that I've gotten from other people. When I was given the betta, I put him in there with the thought that if it didn't work out, it'd take me half an hour to run out, grab a 5g or so and set it up with some media from one of my filters, so that wasn't too much of a risk (besides being worried about illness what with not having a QT set up). I have to say, with the shrimp I'm not as worried as I was with the Endler's. There's plenty of areas for them to hide/get away if they need to. I'll be here for the entire day when they come, so I'll be able to monitor everything and make sure no one is being bullied or overly stressed. _________________ The best scent in the world to me is the smell of my tank <3

| That is good to hear that they are getting along. I wish you well with the shrimp when they come in as well. I have a few small tanks that would be perfect for the betta if you ever decide to get him a new home. |

| Haha, thanks for the offer. If I get him a new home, it'll be in a smaller tank in a different room of the house The only thing that troubles me about the cohabitation is feeding time. Bettas will just eat and eat until they explode, so it's a bit of a balance between making sure all of the Endler's have something, but that the betta doesn't eat too much. He's a great help as far as population control goes, I'll tell you that. I'm probably getting about 1/2 of the fry that I was getting before, and I'm fine with that since I only have the one tank for the time being. I do realize that what's going on right now is a bit of a no-no, whenever people ask me if they should put a betta in their guppy or endler tank I always tell them it's a bad idea, so I'm not really following my own advice. _________________ The best scent in the world to me is the smell of my tank <3

| That one I might take you up on one day. I'm not the biggest livebearer fan in the world. They're nice to look at, but to me, you don't really get to know each individual fish as well as you do with other type likes cichlids or catfish. |
