Snapped some pics of the angelfish fry. We figured once they started wiggling they would fall and get sucked into the filter....thanks to these diligent parents, notsomuch!!! I got some great pics of these babies who have been clinging onto the tube for about the last week. It's kind of amazing...and they are kinda creepy looking all in a weird connected mass, lol.

Pretty cool, you can see their little eyes and tails!!!

Awesome! Do you plan on siphoning them out to rear in their own tank or let the parents give it a try?

I got unlucky with mine. The parents moved the whole batch and when they put them on the plant they didn't stick. The filter sucked the whole batch up.

So tiny! Almost nothing cuter than baby fish.

Ok me and Jen were puzzled by how they stuck to the intake tube after being wigglers. I have seen substrate spawners and this is something new to us. I guess is its a defense thing since the angels cant really patrol the bottom as well as other cichlids.

They'll move them around, or at least the pair I had did, and they were alone in the tank. Something would spook them and next thing you know, the whole wad would be moved to a different place. Fascinating to watch them do it. Even after they are free swimming the parents will herd them closely and keep them in a very small area, just like if there were all the predators of the wild in the tank.

We removed the Angel fry and set them up in the 20 long the keyholes were in. the tank has nothing but fry and a lot of microworms. Here is a video of them eating
