Sounds good we just have to get rid of our peacock females and show up at your place. Jen wants an all male peacock tank and I think that's what we will do. I just hate catching and stripping the Africans. I guess we are substrate spawner people. We also need to pick your brains on them so we can correctly identify the ones we like.

Well I've got 2 silver aros that are pretty big and only gonna get bigger in that tank, a 10" albino Oscar and about a 6" jack. 4 fish in a 240 is unacceptable lol. I need to get some big friends for them, thinking Florida far, maybe a good sized peacock bass, datnoid, who knows.

I have a question which is kind of basic so I hope you won't mind answering. Brian says he can see the egg tumblers in the pix and can even count them but I have no idea what an egg tumber is or what they look like. Can you explain what it is, tell me which pic I can see them in, and anything else you think would be helpful to help me get the idea of what it is all about? Very Happy

An egg tumbler is basically an icubater for mouth brooding cichlid eggs. Its a small tube with a cap on both ends that has an airline attached which once the eggs are put in keeps them bouncing and moving (tumbling) so they don't sit stagnent and rot. This method is an alternative to letting the mother brood the eggs for the 21 days.
In photo 1&2 they are in a 10 gallon aquarium to the right of both photos.

Yeah I'd love to get some good sized peacock bass but I only ever see them tiny at the per stores. Not only are baby p/bs super ugly but they'd also be an expensive snack for the aros which the bigger of the 2 is over 2' long.

You guys should get pikes! !! They are amazing. Animal jungle gets really large ones in quite frequently.
