| Please have patience with us as we re-design the forum categories. You will see some topics moved and some new headlines added. Let us know if you can't find your topic or look under "View my posts" to find it. _________________ Avatar: Spiky Nerite Snail, Clithon diadema.

| did you move my post? how dare you! while you are rearranging, i might suggest an algae-specific topic. in other forums, its one of the more active topics, even though i just shake my head. ppl love to complain about their algae. and for the more sympathetic forum-goers, it gives them a consistent outlet to use their knowledge and experience to help others. in a normal tank, algae is a very mundane problem. you just squirt some aquatic weed-b-gone in there and watch the shrimp go belly up. with a planted tank, its a much more complex problem (if you choose to view it as a problem) since the solution is balancing nutrients and trace minerals, and the quick fix problems will also kill plants. as repetitive and droning as algae problems may be, i could easily see them being the biggest entry barrier to planted aquaria, for those who are low on patience or those that view algae as a problem/blight. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/ianjones33

| Another face-lift is in the works. A number of changes were made today including the removal of unused forums from the Index. As a result, the Index under Freshwater is now packed a little more tightly.
Other changes made already include the easier-to-read post icon buttons, and the category headings on the Portal and Index pages.
A fix to the Gallery is in the works to correct a problem with the rotation of photos. Will post here when this fix is in place. _________________ Avatar: Spiky Nerite Snail, Clithon diadema.

| What do you think of the new forum icons, i.e., and their relatives? Icon key is at end of each page - hit END button on your keyboard. _________________ Avatar: Spiky Nerite Snail, Clithon diadema.

| I can make a sticky in Discuss Plants called Members Plant Lists. It will not be locked and you or anyone can post your lists there. You can re-post or edit, at your choice. Will that work? _________________ Avatar: Spiky Nerite Snail, Clithon diadema.
