Hey thanks Brian , don't really have anything setup atm all i have is a air pump to start withATM still weighing my options. Right now I'm thinking something small and easy to manage like a 20-30 gallon setup with some kind of dwarf cichlids what would be good for a 30 gallon tank that I can house a few fish? Pm me ur number man I lost it when my phone got changed over.

Petco is having the $1 a gallon sale until the 17th. They have 10s,20h,20l,29s,40bredders,and 55s.

There are some really great deals on used tanks on Craigslist that you can pickup and save $$$.

agreed.! also getting your cichlids on CL is gonna save you a crap load of money. if your just looking to stock it with some fish to get started off. i have went around and hand selected mine to get choice offspring. the rusty's i got from mpowers and dunesnstars were very nice. but many people on cl (including myself) are selling the fry for like 1-3 bucks a piece. sometimes even full grown! , let me know if your interested in some babies. i'll hook you up

Thanks guys for the info, I won't be able to make the meet maybe next time. Yea I'm gonna keep my eyes open on Craigslist and here for a setup to cut down on cost. Thanks for the offer on the fish I'll keep them in mind , I still need to get a tank and the goodies it takes to run one.

Hey Russ nice to see you posting on here. Good luck with your hunt for a new setup. I know you said 20/30 gallon but you may want to check out a 40 breeder as well. It has a better footprint if your going dwarf cichlids. Most of them stick to the bottom part of the tank so a 40B will give you more room to play with.

Ben is right on. A 40 breeder has half a square foot more then a 55 gallon.

Yea I'd like to keep this cheap as possible . My last tank was a 40 breeder saltwater I love that footprint. Does anyone here sell any cichilds? Havent made up my mind yet on what I want quite yet. I've had zebras, yellow labs , an a electric blue before , of the three I liked the yellow labs the most but wanna try some other colorful fish this time,Karin's, rams,peacocks or ? Any suggestions?

I have some white tops, yellow labs if you want to go that route. Or, I should be receiving a package of German Rams tomorrow, getting 6 only want 3, will raise and just split original cost of 45 with you when you are good and ready.
