| Just curious I have a 40 long tank 48x12. I was looking at a fixture with a 10000k bulb and a antinic would this be too much for.a cichlid tank? |

| Two 40watt bulbs will grow alot of algae but the 10K bulb is just the color temp of the light. It is a real white light. The 03 Actinic is a blue bulb made for saltwater corals. It won't grow much algae in your freshwater tanks, it will help the color of your fish alittle but not that much. _________________ If it's wet, I like it. |

| One 65 watt bulb shouldn't be that bad. Try and keep your light cycle to about 8 hours. _________________ If it's wet, I like it. |

| Picked up a solarmax ho dual t5 fixture with 8 led moon lights ans wanna replace the bulbs soon . What do you recommend I get for best lighting ? I have. 2 yellow labs, 1 ace I and a jewel cichlid. Currently the fixture has 10000k and a antinic bulb
Would I be better off changing to a 6500 bulb or stay with the 10000k? I'm guessing 6500 would be better due to less algea? |

| They will both grow algae. Its really choice from here on out. If your not growing plants or coral that light should be fine. |
