Ever since summer has hit our tap water here at the beach comes out of the pipe at 90 degrees. Makes it a pia having to freeze blocks of ice to keep the tank temps normal during the change. Also the fish breeding have slowed since, as usually when we did the changes we put in water that was bit cooler than the tank temp.

Anyone else fighting this?

Not the way you are! *lol* In general, in the summer our COLD tap water comes out at just about the right temp for a tropical tank - let's say about 76-76 dF. It's a pain, as you say, because there is no real control and as you fill up a large tank with a PYTHON, say, the water keeps getting imperceptibly warmer the longer it is on.

Not that big a deal for me as it is for you, though.
Very Happy

Lol, thanks Deb!

It is, what it is. Also order a new aqueon connector since the last one split. They have revised them and no longer suction as well.

i get well water so i can adjust it to the right temp without having to worry about chlorine, or chloramines. i usually ad some prime, or aquasafe to condition/ remove heavy metals just to be safe. but i can imagine what your going through!
