On the meeting thread some of you were talking about possibly ordering a blue panaque so I thought I'd show you a picture of the one I used to have. You can see how blue they can be - almost teal!

The lighting is 30 watts in an Eclipse hood for a 20 gallon high. Under natural lighting, this catfish appears more of a dark blue, or indigo.

Yeah you are the one who sparked my interest Ancistra'. The last time I was at your house you were telling me about yours and I would love to have one now.

I hope you find a nice blue one Ben!

My first one came from the Pet Club on Parham Road (now closed) and cost almost $50. Up to then, I had never paid more than $3.99 for a fish so this was a big deal in 2007.

In 2009, Azalea Aquariums had one for sale for about $45. It had only one eye, so Keith took $20.00 money off the price.

I am planning to take another trip to Azalea soon. Maybe I could get lucky and find something cool there this time around.

BTW on a side note for you Ancistra' I have a male endler starting to color up nicely. I wasn't planning to start breeding them again this happened on accident. I have atleast 6 males coming out but this one is beautiful. Will try to get a pic but you know how they are.
