After the meeting I went over to Petco and picked these guys up. They are quite awesome to have in the tank!

Nice find. Your Barbs or Gourami's don't mess with them?

I have been keeping a close eye, and so far I have witnessed no harrassment.

If I were to speculate, I would say that the size of them may be intimidating to the usual suspects, or their lack of movement may not attract attention. They tend to find a spot they like for catching particles and hang there for days. But i also dont want to speak too soon, time may show something different.

They also have not molted yet and thats when they are most vulnerable.

I will let you know if tragedy strikes.

That's interesting, keep us posted. I would love to have shrimp but I certainly can't for long in my two African Tanks. I was thinking of my 56 which has Angels that are 2 to three inches already and afraid shrimp will be expensive snacks for them too.

They are kewl. I've been looking to get a few more but haven't had much luck of late finding them down this way. Petco here gets them occassionally but they aren't in the best of health by the time I roam in there unfortunately. Granted it's only once in a blue moon but still..... Smile
