David, I like it! ThumbsUp The main rocks are mostly the same color - charcoal gray to black - and approximately the same smoothness. IMO this is an improvement which works. The only jarring note is the reddish, brick-like rocks in the background. What are they? I do like the way you've placed the wood and that largish, textured rock on the left is a good balance for it.

The little sprinkling of gravel across the front is excellent!

The group of barbs looks great in this set-up but where did the pristellas go? Did you do a swap?

Yes, I took the pristellas home and they are thriving there. I am doing a mostly tetra only tank at home with lots of variety.

I got most of the rocks in the tank for cheap from a recycled cichlid tank. Its some kind of orange stone that feels like slate. I agree the orange is a bit much and my eventual plan is to replace it with another type of thin stone or slate.

The "sprinkled" gravel is the flourite substrate that got stirred up, but I thought it added a nice touch as well, thanks!
